I caught most of the this film when staying somewhere with late night TV recently.
Having been a lover of Breakfast with Frost in London, I was intrigued to see the young Frost on film.
And of course there is Watergate, and this seemed an interesting fresh angle on it.
I watch a fair number of films and few seem to leave an impression.
This one did.
It is like a great sporting duel between two giants and a David and Goliath story all at once.
To me there is still something grand and romantic about someone throwing everything down for what they believe in and literally risking it all.
At one point Frost says: “I’m in this for everything I’ve got.”
I admire this level of commitment.
But the film is worth seeing for the performance of Nixon alone. Here is a complex character played to perfection.
